Novel Response # 2

I am midway through the book "A Farewell to Arms" and it has gotten very interesting. when i first started reading the novel i really couldn't understand what was really going on because the author's writings are in a way that are different from other styles of writngs that many Authors have. Henry the main character in the story and Catherine dont speak proper i think the author writes the way catherine speaks because many females speak that way because of lack of knowldge or education or maybe it's just the way hemingway is trying to portray her in a sense of a making her sound very beautiful

In the passage a good example of the way catherine speaks is when she 's taking care of henry after being injured in the blast while on the front. she says to henry"you smart" instaed of you're or you are smart. her talking with grammatical errors lets me know that catherine is speaking in the story because the Author does not let the reader know who's speaking but you acn get an idea of who is by the way the Author distinguishes the characters words from each other to let you know who is speaking in the story.

Midway through chapter 11 henry has gotten injured from a blast that has killed two friends of his and almost killed himhe goes to the hospital to get treatment for his leg that was paralyzed in the blast. at the Hospital catherine is his nurse and takes care of him. Henry and Catherine finnally get more into love with each other because of the fact that they're seeing alot of each other.
