Modernism

1. The topic that i choose that I'm interested in studying is Dissillusionment because Dissillusionment defines freeing oneself, getting away from an illusion. i hope to read a story about smomeone who is trying to get out of a situation or an illusion. ideas in one's head that has no meaning or cause and defines nothings.

3.The story that i read was "Solidiers home" in the story the man has just came home from the Army fighting war. the mans mother and father tries to get him to be interactive and outgoing and not let the illusions of the war get to him. The Army taught Krebs that it was alright to pose as though you wanted one. but Krebs thought differently "You did not need a girl unless you thought about them"thought krebs.

Krebs came from the Army and was ready to settle down many of the guys in his town were looking for a girl because so many of them were single because they didn't have a large selection of young men to choose from seeing that they were fighting the war. Krebs felt depressed alot his mother had a tough time trying to get Krebs to hang out and be more social and to try to date one of the french girls.

The story that i read "Soldiers home" corresponds with dissillusionment because Dissillusionment is trying to get yourself away from a situation it's sometimes mental idea's that that have no meaning that you're trying to escape. The soldiers home talks about a a man named Krebs are trying to get way from Dissillusionment "He thinks you have lost your ambition, that you haven't got a definite aim in life" is how everyone thought Krebs viewed life.

The poem "Richard corey" is about a man who is rich and who people admirers because of the dress, his talk and his apperence altogether. deap down inside Richard corey was not as happy as people viewed him. the poem is dissillusionment because Richard corey was not as happy as every viewed him.

Mending wall is two neighbors who have a dissagreement about why or why shouldn't a fence go up to seperate the two neighhbors. one of the neighbors think that "fences make good neighbors" becuse it keeps the peace and them more seperated. this poem is an example of Dissillusionment because it involves a neighbor who is trying to free himself from tyhe other by building a fence.

In the poem "Dream deferred" its asking what happens to a dream that has been lost or damaged. this poem is probably speaking about the time in slavery when many slaves had dreams but couldn't fullfil those dreams because of the persacution they going thru.

in the poem "The Negro Speaks of Rivers" he speaks of his Ancestors of how it was them that built the pyramids, and bathed in the Euphrates river. in the poem he says "I heard the singing of the mississippi when Abe Lincoln went down to NewOrleans" he was talking about his people during Slavery and what they as slaves have built with there hands and thought with there minds.

in the poem "incident" the Author says when he was in Baltimore and was very happy at the time someone called him a Nigger he was very hurt by this emotionally because of the name calling that he endured. this is an good example of dissillusionment which in the poem the little boy tries to avoid things that have no such meaning and thats no use to get him down.

Why i think George Bush should be impeached

When President George W. Bush first began to run for president against senator Al Gore in the year of 2000 I thought he was going to be very good President probably another Bill Clinton. I was very wrong to think such a thing seeing now that his presidency hasn’t been good at all. He has done many things that has left the American people wanting a new President by impeaching Bush and I am one of them that supports the impeachment of president George W. Bush.
America was hit with a terrorist attack on September 11, 2001 a very devastating event that Americans will always remember. After the attack president George Bush suspected that Osama Bin Laden and the Taliban coalition attacked us so he sent our troops to Afghanistan to hunt for him. After no luck finding him, President Bush soon began to focus his attention on Iraq, telling the American people there was no democracy and that the Iraqi people were mistreated. President Bush also accused Iraq of having weapons of mass destruction, allowing the U.S Defense intelligence agency to file a report that Iraq had been actively acquiring chemical weapons capacities. During the invasion on Iraq we caught Saddam Hussein but did not find weapons of mass destruction; soon the President announced that there were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. I began to think he had lied to the American people just to send our troops to fight.
During America’s war with Iraq there were many reports from the military that said those who were sent to fight in the war were not given proper equipment and hardly got any training. Troops were reporting that they needed more and newer equipment to continue fighting in the war over in Iraq. One report I read also said that troops were not going through the full training that they are supposed to go through to even be ready for battle. The military was shortening the training so that they could hurry up and get troops over to Iraq and fight. The president soon made a speech that the man and women in the armed forces would soon get the proper gear and training that they’ll need to fight this war in Iraq. I think from the start that our troops should been given the proper materials to win the war in Iraq; risking their lives to fight for our freedom and country they should have been given everything necessary to win the war from the start.
President Bush should also be impeached because he tapped the lines of phones, emails, and other communication devices without getting permission from congress. When Americans heard this they were furious and upset that they were being spied upon without their permission or even being notified about such tapping. The American people felt that that the president violated their privacy rights tapping in on conversations and E-mails. The American people wanted President Bush impeached because, according to Russ Feingold a senator from Wisconsin, “the President violated the law, ignored the Constitution and the other two branches of government, and disregarded the rights and freedoms upon which our country was founded”. The president violated the trust of the American people and has broken the law and should be punished to the fullest extent of the law.
The president should be impeached for many reasons but most of all for not being the leader Americans thought he would be and hiding the truth from the American people. The president has led us to war and has yet to bring us out as the number of American deaths in Iraq are climbing daily and there seems to be no end to what the president has put the American people through

Realism

1. A. In the "A story of an hour" the woman in the story Mrs. mallard finds out that her husband has died she feels so free "free body and soul free" she wispered. she felt so free that she wouldn't have any one live live for but for herself. Mrs. mallard describes the inner feeling, the joy she feels when she hears this somewhat disturbing news; she is over welmed and also faces the fact that she'll be alone from now on

1. B. One of the social issues that Choplin wants to solve is that the female has to basically listen to everything that the husband says and that you have to be submisive to each other. Mrs. Mallard was very happy when she heard that her husband had died because she would no longer feel as though she was in bondage but free now that she didnt have to be commited to anyone.

2. A. "The Battle with Mr. covey" is a story about a man who wants to live free and no longer in bondage or slavery. Frederick douglass was working in the wheat fields and because of the harsh conditions that the slaves worked in, no matter the condition. douglass fell very weak from working to hard and being in the heat to long. This story uses realism in many ways by describing the many things that the slave endured by his slave master.

I broke down, my strength failed me; I was seized with a violent aching of the head, attended with extreme dizziness; I trembled in every limb. it's telling and describing how he felt being tormented by slavery by working over his limits and a little too much that his body counldn't take the condition the .

In the story "the battle with Mr. Covey" i think that the Author was trying to let the reader visualize how bad slavery was and the horrrible conditions that the slaves had to deal with. the author shows realism in the story by telling in depth of the way the slave in the story was treated.

3. An example of modernism is a movie that i watched called Juice. Juice is about teens in New York that are living a street and gangsta life. The teens in the Movie live in the projects and live a very hard life growing up from poor backgrounds. the author uses realism in the story by showing what kind of live the guys in newyork had to live and the violence that goes on in the teens life is a everyday thing. In the movie the teens rob a store and it goes wrong andthey plan to kill all those that had been witnesses of the robbery. what happened in the movie goes on in the real world at times especially in New York, where the movie was played.

I LOVE THE DIRTY BIRDS!!

I've learned my lesson, y'all. After watching the Atlanta Falcons dominate my Carolina Panthers on Sunday, I am finally ready to admit they are the better team. When I looked up at the scoreboard and saw that 20-13 staring at me, I had no choice it was time to face the truth.

Man, I wish Alge Crumpler played for the Panthers!

Maybe if they didn't wear girly powder blue, the Panthers may even intimidate the other team a little instead of letting the officials decide the game like the one in Atlanta earlier this season.

I think the real lesson here is that I should listen to Mr. Siegmund when it comes to football matters since he told me all along the Panthers were pretenders. I am going to go ahead and say it -- you heard it here, folks -- The Falcons are going to take out the Buccaneers this week on their way to a NFC South Championship. GO DIRTY BIRDS!!!

Maybe Mr. Siegmund will let me keep this hat since I'm tired of looking like a member of The Backstreet Boys wearing that baby blue one. . .

Dark Romanticism

1. The three authors would not believe in transcendental philosopy because transcendentalists believed that everyone was pure and good. The authors had many bad things to happen to them in their life and they've also have seen many horrible things happen to other people and that would make them thinkthat no one is pure and up to no good. for example Nanthaniel Hawthorne's great grandfather was a judge in the salem witchcraft trials and was the cause many cruel deaths and that makes Nanthaniel think that there was evil in the world. That idea affected his anti romanticism.

Herman Melville witnessed cannanbalism when he saw this he thought it was a bad thing because of the evil he saw.

2. I think i am most like an dark romantic because the dark romantists believed that not everyone was good and that people did some terrible things and had evil in them. Not everyone was considered good to the romantics the mind could snap at any time a causing you to do something out of the ordinary. I dont believe that everyone is good and pure like the transcendentalists believe.

3. The story "The black cat" was a really great story that told about a man who is married and him and his wife loves animals. The Narrator is quick tempered and get frustrated at his cat at some point of time when he just dosen't feel like being bothered. because the narrator has such a bad temper he ends up killing his first cat and his wife.

The Dark romantics would disagree with the transcendentalists because the transcendentalists believed that everyones intuition was pure and that god spoke to everyone causing them to do his will. that is not so with the dark romantists: they believed that god didin't speak to you through you and not everyone was good and pure and the mind could snap at anytime to do evil. in the story the narrator's intuition told him to do evil as in to kill his cat and wife.

5. Poe's wife was dying an it was dark and late very freightening for poe Edgar Allen poe because it was very late at night and heard someone outside his chamber door "sir said i, or maiden truly your forgiveness i implore; but the fact is i was napping and so gently you came rapping, and so gently you came rapping and so faintly you came tapping, tapping at my chamber door." it was nothing but a raven that that was not going to leave any time soon, the raven represents death because of the fact that his wife has died.

The transcendentalists believed that everything was good and pure and everything that was done was done through the speaking of god and that no one did any evil. The narrator in the story calls the raven a "thing of evil" and the Transcendentalists believed that there was no evil. "And my soul from out the shadow that lies floating on the floor shall be lifted -nevermore!" the Anti transcendentalists believed that your soal could be damned forever which is what the dark romantists believed. The transcencdentalists believed that you turned to the over soul no matter what.

6. After edgar allen poe's mother died and his father disowned him he was adopted. when he was 18 years old he enlisted into the armed forces under name "edgar a. perry" and claimed he was 22 years old when he was only 18 years old he first served at fort independence in boston harbor that same year he released his first book, a 40-page collection of poetry called "by a Bostonian"

"Thank you" communities in school

I am very thankful for Communities in Schools for making it possible for me to continue with my education. Since I’ve been at Classic City High School in Athens, Georgia, my life has not been the same as it used to be; Classic City has made a difference in my life by getting me back on track with the programs they have. I was thinking about dropping out of high school because I was trying to balance out school and work. Since becoming a student at Classic City High School, I have become a model student since being around positive people with positive attitudes and a faculty that has helped guide me so that I may succeed.
I think it’s a great school that communities in school has put together for students who are struggling in regular school, who may be about to drop out, or who just need guidance through high school so that they may be successful after completing high school.
Communities in Schools is a different type of school compared to traditional public schools, and that has helped me a whole lot. When I was attending a traditional school in Charlotte, North Carolina, the class sizes ranged from 20 to 25 students per classroom, and that was really hard for me because the teacher wasn’t able to come over and help me every time I needed help. There were so many other students in the classroom that were asking questions and who needed help that the teacher wasn’t always able to come to answer every question that I needed to ask. At Classic City High School the classes are smaller; therefore, the teachers are able to work with the students one- on- one, and the students can get the information that they need to be successful in the lessons that they are taking.
Classic City High School is a self-paced school; I go at the pace that I am able to perform my assignments. If I am not ready to move on with a lesson because I’m having a difficult time understanding it, I can take my time and get help from my teacher before taking the test. While I was attending a traditional high school the whole class moved at the same pace, whether i work at a fast pace or I worked slow, when its time to take the test I had to take it whether I knew the material or not. Taking the test at the end of the week and not really understanding the material was not good for me because some of the lessons that were taught took me a while to understand.
While being at Classic City High School, Communities in schools has helped me decide what I want to do when I graduate from high school by preparing me for college and the work field by allowing us to do Service learning projects. Service learning allows us to perform work in the environment that may help us in the future and also decide what we want to be when we grow up. Since I’ve been doing service learning projects I learned a lot and also made up my mind what field of study I want to go into after high school.
I am very grateful to Communities in school for what they’ve done to help me accomplish my goals and allowing me to be able to continue with my education.

Transcendentalism

1. The passage "nature" was talking about transcending. seeing things in a different way than they really are. The passage "From Nature" is talking about how god speakes through everyone and he dosen't say the same thing to different people, he speaks through your instincts. Going into society you are not able to let your mind wonder and go free as you would alone, by yourself while your in a quiet place.

The story "Nature" mainly speaks the beauty of nature and the many things you have to see in nature through superficial eyes. "few adult persons can see nature. most persons dont see the sun. at least they have very superficial seeing". Transcendentalism relates to this story because in the story they speak about god speaking to them through nature and through their in instincts.

2. The story "Self realiance" talks about trusting yourself and also believing in yourself as the people before has accomplished great things like benjamen franklin and others. "god will not have his work manifest by cowards" is saying that if your not willing or scared to do what god wants you to do he won't ask of you to do his work.

"A man is relieved and gay when he has put his heart into his work and done his best". when a man has put forth a good effort in whatever he's trying to accomplish he's very happy because of the hard work he's accomplished. The transcendentalist believed that god speaks to them through their hard work an thats what self reliance was reall about.

3. Cival Disobedience mainly speaks about American government and how most of the laws are unjust. Thoreau believed thet moral sense was very important; being able to use your instincts and your own natural ability to do things. Thoreau believed that too much respect for the law could lead people to do many unjust things by not being able to do what they feel they should do. they believed that they should do what god wanted them to do and not what everything the government wanted

4. Each of the pieces of writings are a good example of transcendentalism because they talk about seeing things more than what they really are in "Nature" they talk about how god speaks to everyone but he dosen't say the same thing; he speaks something different to everyone. In the second passage speacks about

scenario writing 2. If i was chris i would practice law; get a job in a law firm and go to school at the same so that if he's going to school to get his teaching certificate he can have money to also help his wife and als pay for his own schooling. That would allow him to make money in a field that he dont like for a short time but going to school to take up something that he might be doing for a long time. in the scenario chris wants to pursue an education in teaching the transcendentalists believed that you should listen to your instincts and do what god tells you.

Born and Raised in Charlotte

I was born and raised in Charlotte North Carolina, a place where I call home, and a place where I’d rather be than any other place. Being from Charlotte is a good thing. When I tell people I’m from Charlotte, they say, "Wow" as in that’s a great place to live. Charlotte has many attractions and plenty of things for everyone to enjoy. People say that Charlotte is the gateway to the south -- it all starts in Charlotte. Charlotte is the biggest city in North Carolina, and the 20th largest in the world.

Charlotte was founded in 1755. By Thomas Polk. The uncle of United States president, James k. Polk. One day Thomas was traveling with his family, he stopped and built a house at the intersection between the Yadkin and Catawba rivers. Charlotte had a road called the Great Wagon Road; settlers of Scots-Irish and of German descent came from Pennsylvania into the Carolina foothills. Within the first decades in which Thomas Polk settled, the area grew to become the community of "Charlotte Town". Charlotte was named in honor of Queen Charlotte of Mecklenburg, wife of King George III of the United Kingdom.

Charlotte was a site of encampment for both the American troops and the British troops during the Revolutionary war. Sometimes the British troops would get into skirmishes with the Charlotteans and therefore the village earned the nickname "Hornets Nest". Today the landmarks still endures, such as my elementary school being named Hornets Nest Elementary, they’ve also had a basketball team called the Charlotte Hornets, a high school being named Independence high school, and a street called Freedom drive.

Charlotte is located in North America ’s humid subtropical climate zone. Charlotte has mild winters and hot, humid summers. In the winter around January the mornings lows average be around 0c [32 f] and afternoon highs average around 11c [51 f]. Where Charlotte is located it is in direct path of subtropical moisture from the gulf as it heads up the eastern seaboard. Charlotte receives [very little rain and] about 43.52in annually. There are many Ice storms in the winter. In 1989 Charlotte took a big hit from hurricane Hugo. The storm passed through Charlotte with wind gusts over 100 miles per hour, Hurricane Hugo caused massive property damage and knocked out power to 98 percent of the population. Many residents were without power for several weeks and the cleanup took several weeks to complete. Over 80,000 trees were destroyed in Charlotte. The storm knocked out 1.2 million Duke Power customers.

Charlotte has become a major U.S. financial center. Charlotte has the second largest and fourth largest financial institutions, both Bank of America and Wachovia. Charlotte has the largest skyscraper between the states of Philadelphia and Atlanta. Their tallest building stands 871 feet tall and was completed in 1992 The tall buildings is what makes Charlotte’s skyline look great and makes Charlotte a very attractive place to live.

Charlotte is also a sports town with many sports attractions for any sports fan. They have baseball, basketball, football, arena football, and hockey. The sports attractions is what makes Charlotte a great city; because of the atmosphere, the people in Charlotte are nicer than the people in other big cities because on a statistic shows the 10 cities where the people are most rude with Florida being number one and Charlotte not being named. One of Charlotte’s most famous attraction is their Amusement park; Carowinds; it is a fun place to go it has over one thousand rides, many say that Carowinds is better than Atlanta’s Six flags.

I like the city that I was born and raised in, knowing the history of your city and how it was founded makes a difference because you know how your city started out, its background and the very important people who founded it.

Rip van wrinkle

1. Rip van wrinkle was a man who everyone in the town knew. he helped the people in the town by running errrands and doing odd jobs for them. Rip van wrinkle slept for twenty years many cartoons portraying the real Rip van wrinkle have said that rip van wrinkle slept for thirty to forty years.

After rip van wrinkle slept for twenty years he went back to the town where he once lived everyone stared at him as if he was some street bum because they've never seen anyone dress the way he was dressed; rags, long beard, and probably smelled bad. the towns people had never seen anyone like him and therefore he didn't look familiar to them. Rip van wrinkle wondered why no one recognized him and why he didnt recognize any of them the reason was because every one had either died after rip van wrinkle left or had gotten very old.

2. The story of Rip van wrinkle was romantic because it says that rip van wrinkle slept for twenty years and woke up and went to the village where he once lived

the way the describes the scene at the top of the mountains when rip van wrinkle was hunting. the little men and the way they dressed

3. The poem Thanatopsis is talking about nature and the beauty of it; how it speaks to you with its beautiness. when the person in the poem is happy nature looks very beautiful and it says so many things with its beauty. When the person in the poem id sad nature dosen't say the same thing as it does when your happy. Ramanticism shows up in the poem when it talkes about haw nature speaks to you.

4. In the poem someone is describing many things that he or she is seeing while a spiders spinning it's web. The images that standout are when the character describes things that he see and gives descriptive details about them. A good example of ramantcism is when "human spiders spin and spin".

5. This painting could be considered romanticism because you probably won't see anything like that in the real world. it's very beautiful and it's something that you would only imagine seeing.

The reason i chose this picture is because the man in the picture is suppose to be the "god of fog" and thats a good Example of Romanticism.

Rationalists project

1. The puritans believed strongly in god. they believed he was the creator of all and that he was the reason we had most of the things that we do. they believed that when most bad things happen god allows them to happen for a reason.the puritans believed that god created the world and man did everything else to build the earth.

3. benjamen franklin made a chart of the days of the week and the goals he wanted to accomplish to becoming a perfect man. "I made a book in which i allotted a page for each of the virtues". He wanted to become perfect by doing a chart in helping him do that. The puritans wpould pray to go to help them become perfect instead of doing it through science.

4. Role model- be a good example to kids kids younger than me.

Kind hearted- be nice and kind towards others

Thankful- appreciate the things that i already have.

Grateful- be grateful for the good things that has happened in my life.

Honesty- be true to myself and to others.

Respect- respect others as well as myself

Open minded- willing to recieve information and learn more.

Cleanliness- keep my body clean as well as my room

Obedient- do what im told to do by my parents and elders

Thoughtful- always thinking of others besides of myself

Neat- always being presentable and clean

prideful- dont let anyone get me down and tell me i cant do a certain thing.

self-motivated- always motivate and lift myself up through bad times

i think i could reach moral perfection this way by doing the things i have set for myself to do to be perfect. i believe if i try i can accomplish all of my goals and overcome every obstacle that set before me.

5. the Rationalist thought that if the present king who was called by god didnt do a good job they could get rid of him and find their own governor "it is their duty to throw off such government, and to provide new gaurds for their future society.
the rationalists wanted to get rid of the king because he wouldnt let anyone be else be elected "He has for a long time after such dissolutions to cause others to be elected.
the rationalists believed that the powers of the state was different the laws of the nation "powers of the earth the seperate and equal station to which the laws of nature and of natures god entile them.

Analyzing 50 cent

Curtis Jackson, also known as 50cent is a Rapper and actor in the entertainment field. He is fairly new to the hip-hop world but is known very well by many. He has been rapping for five years now, and has won various awards and has also topped the music charts. When his first CD was released, it was rated number one on the billboard music charts. It was the number one CD for a long time and it also great for having the best singles. He’s a well-known gangster rapper known for his gangster attitude and background.

Curtis Jackson was born in south Jamaica Queens on July 6, 1975, and as he was growing up he was not always a good child. He was always in trouble and doing something that he was not supposed to be doing. When he was a teenager he was exposed to drugs and alcohol, therefore he did those things. Curtis would get sent to boot camp or detention hall for drugs or for doing something wrong in school or in the neighborhood, but after he served his time in boot camp he would always do something to go right back there. In 50cents raps he sometimes talk about living a gangster life of drugs and violence the same way he grew up. "I got X, Meth and slabs of cocaine" "gotta shotgun like Elmer Fudd" those are some examples of his gangster lyrics.

50cent’s music is different from most artists in his lyrics he talks about his past and the tragedy of it. Most of his lyrics have feeling and the beats that he uses will have you moving. 50cent has a mixed type of music its not all gangster, he has many love songs that has been rated number one on the music charts. In his lyrics he mainly talks about money, clothes, cars, girls, and love. "I love your smile, I don’t wanna see you cry." He also includes in his music about the put down that he’s had to deal with while growing up and that now he’s on top he’s now looking down on them, as I’m making more money than anyone would have ever thought. 50cent also has a group that he raps with called g-unit it stands for Guerilla unit, they act somewhat like a gang stating in there lyrics that you cant beat them because there g-g-g-g-g-unit.

The way 50cent dresses is not common among rappers he wears a bullet proof vest, he use to wear it for protection but now he has made it into a fashionable piece of clothing. They have made tank top t-shirts in the design of a bulletproof vest but its not of the same weight and many people wear it to dress somewhat like 50cent. 50cent also have his own shoe line called G-unit that he has signed through Reebok. They are tennis shoes that can be worn with any kind of clothing whether its street clothes or dress clothes.

50cent have also acted in movies about his life. The name of the movie that he has played in was called "Get rich or Die Trying" he played the role of himself, acting out his childhood and the life that he lived. The movie he played in was basically telling about his life before he became famous, the tragedy of him getting shot nine times because of drugs and his money, drugs and his life as a gangster. The movie drew plenty of controversy from critics and movie goers because after they would see the movie somebody would go outside the movie theater and fight and on one occasion a man shot another after watching "Get Rich or Die Trying."

Many people look up to 50cent because he’s been through trials in his life and now he’s selling CD’s and has some good music and especially after getting shot nine times he has a story behind his music and that’s what people like about him. They like that even though he’s had a rough life as a child and adult he’s able to express himself and tell his story through his music. He ‘s also able to tell his story through movies as well.

Puritans project

1. Religion was the most important thing in the Puritans' society. Their spiritual beliefs were very strong. Their beliefs were showed in their community laws, customs and how they acted. Each church congregation was responsible to God as an individual. They had a very harsh interpretation of scriptures; they believed in constantly working together to do good in this life to be chosen for the next eternal life.

The Puritans believed that when they are born, God has already chosen who would be in heaven or who would go to hell. Each Puritan had no idea which group they were in.They believed that those who were wealthy were in good standings with God. The Puritans believed that the devil was behind every evil deed. They had to keep constant watch in order to stay away from the devil's clutches.

2. Some of the puritans' belief i agree with and some of them i dont. For example in " Sinners in the Hands of an angry God," Johnathan Edwards says, " God is the least bound by any promise to hold [ Sinners] them up one mement." i do not agree with this because i think that god is a merciful and forgiving God. I dont think that because you make one mistake in life that you are automatically going to hell, and that "The devil is waiting for them"

The puritans believed that they were born sinners because of adam and eve. they believed that because adam and eve ate from the tree that they weren't suppose to that's how sin came into the world and that everyone is born a sinner. The puritans stole the indians tools away from them thats when they made a treaty with the indians. The treaty was mainly about a promise that both sides had to keep so that the puritans and indians could get along.

The puritans believed differently than most people do today. they believed that they were only a moment away from going to hell and that they should bo glad that they didn't die and go to hell last night. "You hang by a slender thread with the flames of divine wrath flashing about it... ready every moment to singe it." I dont agree with this because not every one is going to hell. God is a forgiving god and he shows lots of mercy.

I think the way the puritans lived was a fairly good one because of their religion they were set apart from the rest of the world. They were set apart from the world by not doing the the things that sinners do. The children were taught to read the bible daily to purufy themselves and their parents also made them practice perfect social living.

The puritans were also very smart people they studied, read daily, and cited poetry. tthe parents made sure that there children studied and went to school the parents also taught the children themselves. athe puritans had great knowledge that they were the first to write books for children. The puritans is a people whom i would say did for themselves and for there famililies as well as there community.

3. total depravity = "everyone was born a sinner because adam and eve disobeyed god"
unconditonal election= "God had already chosen who would be in heaven or hell, and each believer had no way of knowing which group they were in".
